Enjoying, Protecting and Enhancing Footpaths around St Albans
Walks

We always walk on Thursdays and sometimes on Sundays. All walks start at 10am.
There are usually two walks to choose from on Thursdays – one at up to 5.5 miles and one at 6 or 7 miles.
We aim to offer Sunday walks twice a month.
Our walks often end with a pub lunch, which is optional.
OUR NEXT WALKS ARE:
THURSDAY 30 MARCH AT 10AM:
Short walk: 4.8 miles from Letty Green. Cowpers Arm car park if staying for lunch. Otherwise Cole Green Way car park just beyond. Expl.182 GR.TL 285 111. Walk leader is Alison.
Long walk: 7.2 miles from Redbourn Common. Cricket Pavilion car park. Expl. 182. GR.TL 103 119. Walk leader is Pat.
You are very welcome to join either walk. Send an email to stalbansfootpaths@gmail.com by the day before so we know you're coming.
We have very few rules for our walks:
-
Members must be over 18
-
Walkers must follow the Country Code, including keeping to marked footpaths and being considerate to those living in, working in and enjoying the countryside; leaving gates and property as we find them
-
We only allow registered assistance dogs on our walks
-
We ask members to arrive ten minutes before 10am as walks begin promptly

Our February 2023 walk programme includes walks around Wheathampstead, Whitwell, Sandridge and Ayots St Lawrence. Our March 2023 walk programme inlcudes walks around Letty Green, Redbourn and Leverstock Green.
You are welcome to join us on up to three walks before deciding to join the Group.
You can download one of our walks here with our compliments.
