Who We Are
The Footpaths Society exists to keep footpaths and rights of way open for everyone to use. It is run by and for members and is led by a Chair and an Executive Committee. All positions are voluntary.
Our Patron is the Mayor of St Albans.

Walk leaders make the walking programme possible. They plan the route (allowing for a comfort break, a short drinks break and sometimes liaising with a pub beforehand about lunch at the end of the walk), check the route in advance and lead the walk on the day.
